Green info
High Pressure Laminate may contribute to the efforts of
companies seeking LEED certification on buildings and renovations or for new
construction and interiors. High-pressure laminates are considered sustainable in that they are long lasting and durable, and therefore, with proper maintenance, they do not require frequent replacing. Also, because laminates and Tefor are compressed tightly, they reduce VOC emissions when applied to a substrate.
Specifying Tefor may contribute to LEED point MR 6.o for recycled content in the materials and resources category for new construction and commercial interiors.
At least 60% of the wood used in the manufacture of ABET
Inc. commercial flooring is supplied from well managed forests which are
independently certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship
Council. ABET’s Forest Stewardship Council Certificate number is:
TT – COC – 2097.
